Tickey Creek Tree Planting Event, Forests to Faucets

We have partnered with the City of Princeton, A&M Forestry Service, North Texas Municipal Water District, and others to plant upwards of 1,200 trees along Tickey Creek at J.M. Caldwell Sr Park.

When: Friday, November 4th, 9 AM

What to bring: Gloves, closed-toe shoes, long sleeves, water bottle. You may bring any tools you may prefer to use as well. Be sure to sign up through the Princeton website.

What we will be doing: Planting trees. The holes will be pre-dug. We need volunteers to assist in the careful planting of these trees, and we are looking for leads when it comes to training other volunteers on how to properly plant trees for best chance of survival. Mulch will be spread over the trees after planting.

 

Volunteers can earn service hours for their school group, troop, or club. Registering ahead through the Princeton website is required.
