Volunteer at the McKinney Greens

What: Volunteer opportunity at the McKinney Green park in McKinney, Texas
When: Saturday, February 9th from 8:00AM to 11:00AM
What will we be doing: McKinney Greens has recently become a property of the McKinney Parks and Recreation Department. It is not scheduled for funding until 2021. However, there are numerous activities that will need to be done leading up to that point. The majority of which can be accomplished by citizen volunteers. The first step will work on the reclamation of sidewalks from vegetation overgrowth and flood debris. Please arrive about 20min early for a safety orientation, waiver sign in, and team assignments.
What will I need to bring: Long pants, long sleeve shirt, insect repellant, work gloves, and anything for hydration purposes. The McKinney Parks Foundation will be supplying all necessary tools.
